Counselling to support you through life’s challenges
Therapy for burnout, anxiety, depression and emotional wellbeing.
Welcome
Seeking professional guidance can be a daunting step but it’s a courageous decision that can pave the way for emotional wellbeing and personal growth.
You may be considering counselling because of a crisis or perhaps you’ve been struggling alone for some time.
You may choose to come to see me because you are tired, stuck or feeling disconnected and you don’t know why.
Counselling can help you make sense of those feelings and begin to move forward; towards a life that feels more like your own. Perhaps how you used to be or how you wish to be.
I’m Tracy Lochaden (MBACP), a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working privately with clients online, in the City of London and in Markyate serving clients in Harpenden, Berkhamsted, Dunstable and Luton.
Burnout
“When you're used to succeeding, it can be disorienting and deeply uncomfortable to find yourself struggling.”
In my practice, I work to explore the deeper patterns that contribute to burnout. By understanding the unconscious drivers behind these patterns, a shift becomes possible—not just symptom relief but meaningful, lasting change.
Counselling or Psychotherapy
The terms Counselling and Psychotherapy can be used interchangeably.
Counselling is often considered to be shorter term work where the focus is on one or two specific issues that you are struggling with now. Therapy can be understood as longer term work that involves a more in depth exploration of yourself and the issues you are bringing.
Both approaches are healing processes that are guided by kindness, an understanding of unhelpful patterns and commitment to making change.
Location
I can see you in person at my fully-accessible office on Philpot Lane, EC3M 8AA or my counselling room in the village of Markyate, Hertfordshire, AL3 8JG.
I also work online across the UK.
